DON'T WORRY--THIS ARTICLE IS BOGUS: Everyone needs to calm down. The report mentioned in the article is not a proposal, as the author suggests it is. It is a "what if" kind of report that lists a number of ways that revenue could be increased, from the easy and sensible to the wild and politically impossible. It's a brainstorming type of report. This is done all the time by companies and other organizations -- let's just throw a bunch of ideas out there from the tame to the wild. They are not proposals. The net and data connections "tax" are in that second category of wild and politically impossible. The article author is shamefully trying to inflame you all.
