Locks only keep honest people honest.

Honest people wouldn't break into houses whether or not there were locks on them. What you are talking about are lazy and/or cowardly dishonest people who are too lazy to break down locked doors and/or are afraid of amorous cellmates in prison. You give them too much credit when you call them "honest".
