So you are saying you would be willing if you were running one of those sites to go through each and every file that is on your site and validate that it is legal to be shared and then remove it if it were not! ! !

Do you realize how many files you are talking about. 100's of Thousands of Files.

All the people that read this site and these blogs do not have enough time in their daily schedule to proof just One site little lone all the different site police themselves. It is a Physical Impossiblity.

You say well use software to do this. NOT! This bill would make said software ILLEGAL DUDE!!!!

Plus if we tried to partner with RIAA and the MPAA they would hedge to their side not the side of doubt and then every song would get pulled or video or what not just so they can be safe and protect thier profits. Not a good solution.

No it will destroy ALL Sites. Not just the Illigitimate Sites. Wake up and look at what you are saying.

The more there is government the less there are freedoms. This is just adding more government to a situation that the Free market has created and the free market does like. It is forcing those that stood by and watched as technology advanced and did not play a part in its creation. Because of this they are playing catch up and thier narrow mindedness is what has put us ALL at risk here.

So put this back in the laps of those that created this situation NOT the ones that are attacking the situation.

CD's should not cost more than 5 to 7 dollars instead they cost 30 now. Movies the same ratio.

Why is this. The suppliers and their GREED. End of Story.
