HotMail and Business E-mail are a bad mix.
Professional bodies such as the AICPA and ABA are warning their members not to use mail services such as HotMail, Yahoo, and other large public providers of E-mail services. Security is the reason why. These large providers cannot assure users that their confidential correspondence will remain confidential.

These large service providers cannot give the security and be a service for the general population at the same time.

These professional organizations have gone as far as to worn their members that their continued use of such E-mail may be construed as a breech of professional ethics and potentially a cause for malpractice liability. They stopped just short of taking action from within to force this issue. But if embarrassment results from members using these services, you can bet their professional bodies will seek ways to enforce this warning.

I am for sure, I would not want my accountant or attorney to send sensitive data pertaining to me through these E-mail services.
