Finally, a GOOD idea from M$
"..this company maintains HUNDREDS of Exchange servers..". Managing those has got to be fun. I used to have my hands full with just 4 Exchange 5.5 servers. In those days we never ran more than about 500 accounts per server. Last I read, MS now runs about 4000 mailboxes per Exchange 2003 server at their site.

They keep going Exchange may yet be able to run with the big boys. But it will take some doing:

Back in 1997 Novell built the email system for Comdex and 48,000 live email users per server on Groupwise.

uboot.com has supported as many as 4.5 million SMS email users on a single HP Alpha Tru64 Unix server running CommuniGate Pro email server software.

I know MS runs Hotmail on Windows, but does anyone know if Hotmail runs on Exchange server software?
