Change is hard
Change is hard for most humans. If something works, don't . . . I've seen the same attitude from my employer - and then I've seen the 180 they needed to do. It was/is hard to do (putting structure to IT processes), but everyone agrees that it is the RIGHT thing to do. Maybe that was because it was "sold" to us properly and not the "use this or else" mindset.
