MSN Desktop Search is "integrated in OS"... sort of
MSN Desktop Search is basically just a user-friendly layer on top of the the Indexing Service, which comes with both Windows 2000, Windows XP. Microsoft has had full-text and meta-data based indexing as part of their operating systems for the past 5 years.

So, in an article that talks about how Apple's search will benefit because it is part of the OS, it would be nice to mention this fact as well.
