That's assuming...
...consumers decide they can't live without the entertainment available from those companies. If enough people refuse to patronize, the market will shrink and the 'cartels' will be forced to adjust.

It's not like music CDs or movie DVDs are air or water, necessary for life. The consumer still has the power. It's just a matter of convincing enough to use it. If you can't, well, then I guess the majority rules in the marketplace after all. If a majority of consumers don't care, is it really a problem?
