Soon to be crushed by tv and movie studios
The whole TiVO to go thing won't last long. Already, HBO has turned on the digital broadcast flag that prevents you from burning The Sopranos to a dvd. Soon, every other network will do the same for every other show, and once all networks are required to broadcast digitally, it's all over. Why allow you to burn anything when they can make $ by selling you the dvd set a few months later?

Next you've got Six Feet Under, which your cable company magically deletes from your DVR after two weeks at HBO's demand.

So basically, these new technologies will be killed by the greedy tv and movie studios. That's what happens when you're a tech company and you give up control of your products to someone else, someone who doesn't have your best interests at heart.

Next time, think for yourself tech companies, come up with a product that works how consumers want it to work, and let the tv and movie companies adjust to it, just as they did the VCR.
