"What's the problem with having a judge check the accusation and issue a warrant?"

I think this is the big sticking point. Most all of us don't have a problem with them unmasking infringers, it is just the manner in which they'd like to do it (without oversight) that we have a problem with. By extension, I think this should also be applied to laws regarding "terrorists" and the unlawful holding of "enemy combatants" without due process or lawyers, as well as the unlawful searching and seizing of property that the "Patriot" Act grants. The FBI should not have the right to go into ANYONE's house without a warrant. And there is no reason to hold people without evidence or deny access to a lawyer, unless you include that the feds are really setting up these laws to protect themselves from protests by the public. They want the power to just scoop up innocent dissenters off the street and make them disappear. Denying due process to "enemy combatants" does nothing for the "war on terror" but does everything to curb our dissent over their criminal actions.
As we all know, having to go about these things lawfully (through the courts) will be just as effective, and would do nothing to stop them from seeking to prosecute those that they wish to. Which can only make us very suspicious as to why they'd like things set up so they are not in any way accountable.

"The Bush Administration is planning for possible lifetime detention of suspected terrorists, including hundreds whom the government DOES NOT HAVE ENOUGH EVIDENCE to charge in courts."

I find it hilarious (and pretty scary) that there are actually still people out there that think these guys are looking out for our safety or best interests..
