I completely agree. While there may be some information that the family would liek to see- perhapsd this is also information that the son would NOT liek them to see. Things such as passwords saved in emails would be useful to families, so that they could cancel/close those accounts as well. On the other hand, there most likely are also letters (personal ones) that he would not want anyone to see. If he felt safe with his family accessing his account, username and password in his locker would defineatley have been the best bet for him. A policy pertaining to this type of sutuation should be compiled, since not everyone is in the military and has a "locker" for thier family to get when they die. I think that yahoo and other email service providers should have a way for others to access upon thier death. Even if they made a way to mark certain folders private, so that when a family member accessed the account, it would be with a DIFFERENT PASSWORD and would block access to these messages/folders marked private.
