Maybe the next big tech merger will be the combination of two law firms to create the resources to pursue any company or government anywhere, anytime.

Patents can be parasitical, and this sounds like the swamps are producing a lot of mosquitoes. The only advantage is that companies paying licensing fees require income, and that can make for-profit development with paid employees more necessary.
