well, the domain registrars dont care because they can just
pass the buck to the consumers as a charge that is out of their control. I dont think its right, but i do agree that when dealing with a changing economy, you have to allow for some increase as long as its merited. 75 cents per domain per year, if expanded to net domains is a tad to much, why not just say that all domains have to pay 10 cents more a year, the impact per registration and the resulting yearly funding is not as high. If it needs to be bumped, then move it 1 cent at a time, just like the postal service does. That may not be such a bad model to follow for this organization.
