Thank goodness for choice.
Sometimes I wear my blue coat. I love my blue coat. It is familiar and comfortable and serves me well. This year I bought a red coat. I love my red coat. It is different than the blue coat and it also serves me well.

Is the red coat a "threat" to my blue coat? No. They are both great in different ways. I get to own both and use either one depending on my mood.

If I only had one coat to choose from, I would not feel as happy. I would probably get tired of the same thing all the time. I would take it for granted. But, I have TWO. I am glad I have the choice to wear one or the other.
