The "someone" you quote is Winston Churchill. Fine statesman for the times in which he lived, but wouldn't get past dogcatcher today except for his family's influence. If you look at the whole context, it wasn't legalities he was referring to.

Don, age doesn't always equal wisdom. And there are a lot of relative youngsters in Congress. Your problem is that you have a few dollars (presumably) and you think everyone is trying to steal them.

Looking back 30 years, there are a lot of things that sucked and I wouldn't want to go back. Payola, censorship of ideas, "bubble gum" packaged pop... You get the idea, I am sure.

Staying stuck in older practices is what is killing the entertainment industry, NOT file-sharing and digital media purchases. Business practices have to change or the industry goes stagnant and withers, which is what is happening now. Fewer people want to buy a ton of CDs to lug around these days. They also know that 75% of what they pay for a CD or DVD is pure profit for the companies, so they do not see the need to further line some fat OLD guy's wallet. When the music industry loses a major lawsuit over price-fixing and STILL charges the same prices as before, then there is something very wrong.

The Founding Fathers thought 35 a vast old age in their day because the average lifespan was about 50 for the poor people. Now, 35 is just starting to get one's stride. I have little respect for your old-man ideas, though. It's those thoughts that got us into war.
