I didn't heard about this story through regular news channels in the UK.

Of course America stands pretty much alone in the civilised Western world in still insisting that "Thou Shalt Not Kill" doesn't count if the US government appoints the murderer. Just add it to the recent revelations about American torture and the holding of people without charge, or trial, for years (Guantanamo).

America currently ranks number 3 in the entire world for the number of people it kills "legally". Children, the mentally ill, it doesn't seem to matter ... hey, how long will it be before you guys invent "Pay-To-View" death sentence webcasts?
