diskMETA is a standalone product designed by a Microsoft partner. It is available at http://www.diskmeta.com. It does basically all the functions the MS product does, but for the more advanced features, you gotta pay a reasonable price. But the basic version is a free download. It is designed for Windows only, but runs fine on Linux via WINE.
