A year?
"I'll be more interested in the Netcraft type reports after a year which measure the number of users using the browser that hit major sites."

A year? This shift has happened just in the last couple months and you're going to wait a year? ROFL! Get out much?

I can watch the change month to month in my own site logs. It's almost a free fall. For a long time the change was incremental. The last three months the monthly change has been bigger and growing. IE dropped to around 85% last month.

Two factors at work: People discovering how nice Firefox is and what a clunky, insecure POS IE really is.
