Sure. What laws does Kazaa break? Absolutely none, according to US courts. People abusing it are breaking the law, to be sure, but the product itself is perfectly legal (as are guns or cars that can be used in criminal acts).

That's actually a very interesting suggestion. I'd really like to see the RIAA/MPAA buy into one of these networks and turn it around for their own profit. I don't think they're offering that, nor are they offering to pay for any of the modifications they're demanding.
