It's not about money, it's about severity of the crime

No, absolutely not, never said anything like that. What I've said is that punishment, and preventitive measures should be relative to the damage done by the crime. A murder sentence should be longer than a shoplifting sentence. In this case, you're forcing a company to live under restrictions that no other companies face and yet there is very little evidence of financial harm being done.

When I see factual numbers, rather than hearing anectdotes, I'll analyze it for myself. Do you have any financial numbers for AutoDesk for the last 5 years?

So can the phone, e-mail, ftp, websites, etc. Are you willing to demand major restrictions be built into the technologies of all of these as well?

No one is against the truth, the question is whose responsibility is it to do this work? If you're making unproven claims against my company, why do I have to change my product and devote my employees' time to proving your charges?
