YOU missed the point!
Gun locks are NOT always required, as Tic pointed out. Moreover, they were put in place because too many little Johnnys were accidentally blowing their heads off (or their friend's, heehee) with poppy's gun. Putting a safety lock on a gun is cake compared to being asked the monitor millions of internet users. Finally, Sharman does not HAVE to do this. It is not their responsibility to make sure the entire world doesn't break the law, just as a gun manufacturer is in no way responsible for one of its guns being used in a bank robbery.
