Nope, sorry. Point us to some info backing that up.

I don't have any hard data, but I do see general trends that, when brought to their logical conclusion, results in jobs being lost (as with my example in the previous message). And consider, for example, the dispute betweem a Mr. Sakic (developer) and a company that did something or other with website templates (it was on this site a while ago.. I can't remember the exact details). The company hired Mr. Sakic to make some modifications to an OSS product for them. Mr. Sakic then turned around and turned those modifications over to the OSS project - any revenues the company hoped to make by having these features are essentially wiped out.

Well then, these developers can start building mozilla apps and make money that way. See how easy it is to adapt to the new paradigm?

There are several problems with that argument. For one, more developers competing for essentially the same amount of mozilla app jobs means the people doing these modifications will be paid like $hit (ie. supply and demand). Secondly, experience developing app X might not easily transfer to developing apps based on Mozilla.
