"The organization also said it will release free software to help parents and other computer owners identify all the music, movie and peer-to-peer software files on their machines."

But will it tell you what's legal or not, or just identify everything? Would parents really be willing to rife through to find out what's what? And if parents don't even have the time or patience to do real things with their kids, can anyone really see a prent getting home from work and doing this police work on behalf of the MPAA criminals. If the MPAA really wants to see this go anywhere they should offer a free copy of a person's favorite movie along with this free disc. That'll get people jumping. Otherwise, why would they expect anyone to bite on this?
As we've all said before, if these greedy criminal execs want to end P2P sharing they should just lower their prices to more reasonable levels. If every disc sold for 15$ or less, no noe would bother spending 3-6 hours downloading a movie. And the studios already seem to be trying to battle piracy by releasing new movies still in theatres in a video-on-demand format, so that people don't have to wait months for the movie to come out on disc.
