You rent for $5.25 then if you like fork out an additional $28 bringing the price to $33.25 plus applicable taxes.

At least when you go to the theatre to see you get the theatre experience and a night. Renting you get nothing. So the risk is still high. Still for movies I don't think the prices are too bad for most movies. I've been able to get many of block buster hits for $22. I used to buy VHS tapes of my favorite movies for $30.

Music more the problem for me. But I can see that others that not so much into movies may the aversion I have to buying music. Video games are just crazy and an extreme risk unless you can rent them which often you can't.
