I would buy DVDs if they were under $10 but they would never go for it. Everyone I know rarely buys but has netflix or the new blockbuster equivalent whatever the heck it is called. They look at people who are not buying anymore, and just like RIAA just cry wolf at the pirates which I believe is a small fraction of what they claim since donwloaders would never consider purchase at all.
The RIAA logic is flawed and kazaa took off because people could get the one song from an album they really didn't want to buy just the hit single and they really don't push the single sales - why because they don't make as much $ the greedy industry! Musicians also need to avoid the industry capitalists and go with independent labels then competition will balance the "price fixing" you are talking about. Look at Moore's film it was a sellout no major industry there independant all the way (not a moore supporter btw)
