"Microsoft has done a" dis-"service in that it has made it" difficult "for users such as me to use and access data, content and documents" that is not the Microsoft standard.

"Microsoft" ... "intent on helping" HACKERS "take advantage of computers."

"If it weren't for Microsoft, my 86 year old mother wouldn't" have viruses, spyware, worms, & numerous security holes.

"focus on usability", security, interoperability, standards compliance, and affordability "rather than raving" at all.

Explanation:
Microsoft is not the savior of the personal computing industry. Yes, I do remember the incompatibility issues 20 years ago. But to say that MS has corrected this problem WITHOUT causing numerous other ones, is not seeing that the cure for the disease is killing the patient.
Without MS, who knows what Apple (rarely ever used one) or Linux or BeOS or OS2/Warp WOULD have done?

P.S. - While I do not believe that the corporation of Microsoft is evil, per se... Steve Ballmer DOES frighten my small children.
