you just don't 'get it'
regardless of what the courts have ruled, Microsoft (I'm not an employee of M$, just a user, VP of sales for my company) has done a service in that it has made it easy for users such as me to use a computer and access data, content and documents. Microsoft isn't going to 'go-away' as you wish, it will evolve along with other companies intent on helping 'users' take advantage of computers. If it weren't for microsoft, my 86 year old mother wouldn't be using email. Get a life and focus on useability rather than raving against microsoft.
