Cherry picking, my friend..
"There are essentially three main parts to this style:
1) a feeling of persecution of one's way of life/nation"

Umm, dude, if you don't see any threats to the "way of life" in this country going on RIGHT NOW, then as they say, there's one born every minute.

"2) an emphasis on evidence.."

Ummm, yes..ya see, evidence kinda helps the credibility along..;-)..unlike your conspiracy theorist "thesis topic" mentioned further down, which is bawsed on NO evidence, and thus has about as much realism to it as a dream called up by a man confined to a rubber room. wink

"3) a portrayal of "Good vs. Evil."

Well, I DO think this current administration is evil, not only for the US but for the whole world. However, you need to point out to me where I brought up the "good" part, for I always stay away from pseudo-religious, black/white principles. You need to realize how tenuous your "argument" is being that you need to throw words into my mouth.

"However, Jeff, before you get too happy on my agreeing with you, the Kerry campaign has used it right back."

Whoopie, you've proved it all now. Once again, a simple-minded assumption that if I'm not for A I must be for B. The "war on terra" is a contrived falsity, and it is a GLOBALIST thing. You know, as in the New World Order? If you do not know what that is, then you have ABSOLUTELY no idea what is really going on right now.

"I don't completely agree with either side, but I must thank you for unknowingly supporting my paper by using this paranoid style."

Well, now that I've shot down ALL THREE of your paranoid delusions, I can only come to the conclusion that you are putting words into my mouth to justify your "non-argument".

"You were able to point to many sources (some of which I would consider less than credible by the layout of the pages--and yes, that is a big thing.."

And of course some of them were definitely CREDIBLE, but hey, ignoring those would be the only way you would be right about this, eh? wink
So because some didn't seem big time to you, this somehow precludes BBC NEWS from being taken seriously??? THAT, my friend, is a BIG thing!

"and John Kerry is the Savior of Worlds."

NEVER said or even remotely implied this. Once again, making things up..

"It also goes along with a thesis topic I'm working on about how conspiracy theory is mainly (but not exclusively) a Democrat-weilded tool to use against Republicans."

I'm also working on a thesis as well: how Republicans are really modified monkeys given the ability to speak right-wing slogans on command. Being that my thesis is based on just as little, ahem, evidence as yours..it should find a home right next to Einstein's theory of relativity, right? wink

"Everyone's got to wake up and realize that it's not the voter that has control anymore."

Most everyone knowws this already. You need to wake up to the fact that most everyone is already awake.

"But with Kerry's non-stance on everything.."

For you to have said this a few months ago, I could understand. So you must really be living in la la land considering most stay-at-home moms even know most all of Kerry's positions now. What more do you need? For him to pull up to your home with a loudspeaker and scream it into your ear for you?

A word of advice: go easy on the papers, hypotheses, theories, etc. They eventually muddle up common sense, as you can see with me whittling through all your relatively baseless arguments you sent my way. Common sense should be all that needs to be employed to see in front of you. No need for "paranoia" drummed up by some man over 50 years ago, who was probably paranoid himself ya know. You know: the old "the shrink needs a shrink" thingy?...;-)
