Oh c'mon it is just 10% and it has not reached that yet
When Opera came along it was Opera this and Opera that. Opera Opera Opera blah blah blah. Where is Opera now? Basically stagnet growth. The reasons why is that by default Internet Explorer is already installed from the OEM (obviously) and to my knowledge there is nothing but AOL added as an alternative. Untill Firefox finds away to get bundled from the OEM or bundled as the preferred browser ala Netscape in third party software, I am afraid Firefoxes growth will remain painfully slow and stunted.

Word of mouth is a poor way to sell or spread any product and right now that is all Firefox has. A few months ago when the security warnings about I.E. browser warning were at a fever pitch Firefox was mentioned in news reports and computer help radio shows as a viable alternative. Now you and I both know that that alone should have urged the populace to make a mass migration but it did not.

Firefox is a great browser, I use it 99% of the time but till some changes are made in distribution it will remain a small player.
