I do at home.
I did at work. I worked for DoD, the US version. We were starting to use SUN machines running CDE and Motif. It was really expensive to bring up a SUN machine with CDE/Motif on it. My solution was to get a PC, BUY RedHat Linux and then their licensed CDE and Motif. When we used open software we very carefully examined the license and when necessary got approval from the author in the form of email for permission to use at no cost or made arrangements to pay for it. We also bought several other versions of Linux, SUNOS, Solaris (Sparc and X86, about 50 copies of this.) We had a person who very carefully tracked ALL software to made sure it was licensed and ONLY installed on one machine. When we ran VAX/VMS boxes I did that as one of those "other duties." - Posted by: Cardinal_Bill Posted on: 10/20/04 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
