I agree with you. While I called it entertainment, I wish it weren't (for the most part, but I get a kick out of Chris Matthews sometimes). And possibly the old news formats were making money, but sadly you can't refute the fact that 'viewership/readership/etc' were way down. It's a sad statement that the far majority of people get their 'news' from the 10/11:00pm local news channels instead of a variety of sources like newspapers, Sunday morning news shows, Lehrer, etc. I've also noticed a slight bent against some of the more 'conservative' news sources in these postings (like Fox, et al.), but there are plenty of 'liberal' (I hate all the 'labels') slanted news sources as well (NY Times comes to mind).
