MS desktop search biased
I recently discovered that MS has enhanced their desktop search tool in XP so that it doesn't search all file types; supposedly to decrease the amount of time required for a search. After two hours of not finding a file I know I had I finally checked their web site and discovered that the search excludes many third party files made by their competitors (for example all WP files are excluded). Sigh. I downloaded a search tool from ZDNET and found my files - I'm betting once the google tool is available I'll never have to use the MS garbage version again. Hurrah!
