Don't forget Monti
..the sound of gas escaping from the Longhorn bag? If users get used to this as a passive search tool, Longhorn, by the time it arrives, will be very ho hum....

Longhorn search was one thing the Eiropean Commission had a problem with, even though it doesn't exist yet.
Google will have a couple of years and if Monti gets his way, MS will be supervised so that the Google market would be maintained.

..They could have done the same thing with IE, but instead they have been spending all of their time and resources swatting at flies...

One of the reasons why IE development is lacking, they are redoing the whole desktop experience.
Swatting at flies?
Sounds like a 'Mission Accomplished' statement.

I don't know what Longhorn will be but you've already made up your mind.
Maybe you're right and then again, maybe not.
