the gaming community is a fickle mistress. It may feel spurned, even if they don't use a 3rd party network/software. They paid for their game, they feel like they can seek other "cheatfree" venues to play, not a lock-in by an entity without the full resources or tack to take on the issues that caused the 3rd party usage.
Gotta love the DMCA, squashing companies and developers left and right. Here's the new mantra, if it isn't from the Company, its time to kill em with the DMCA, or patents, or trademark, or just staying in court long enough to bleed em of cash.
