Who says that Longhorn's built-in IE is going to be everyone's browser of choice (besides you and Mike Cox)?

Furthermore, given that IE-specific websites have been disappearing for years, is there any reason to believe the trend will be reversed with the release of the next version of Windows NT (even with the browser built into the desktop)?

The browser wars were never about who uses what browser. They were always about gaining control of the WWW as a way to sell software. Netscape lost by trying to out-MS MS. MS succeeded in making their browser dominant, but is losing the main objective of making Windows a prerequisite for web access.
