Shut down the infected PC's
If Earthlink has 3 million subscribers with infected machines, they need to be booted off the system. It is the ISP's job to inform their customers of the problem and what the solutions are. Running anti-spyware on the infected machine is not the answer. Format of the hard disk,re-install of the OS, and running critical updates is one solution. The other is to run non Microsoft operating systems (Linspire).
