Actually I don't think it was a request to stop...
It goes like this:

"Cleric Jim,"

I thought I should drop you a note to let you know that we're
getting complaints because of your signature line: "All glory and
praise to Allah."

Let me be clear: There's nothing in that sig that violates the
ZDNet terms of service or good taste. (There were more holy
references on prime time TV every night of the Olympics.) ZDNet
is not asking you to change your sig.

Nonetheless, I thought you would want to know that the
signature line, more than the content of your messages,
isgetting a bunch of negativeattention. You've used it for a
while, and probably assume that nobody pays it much attention.
That's clearly not the case.

It was more informative than anything else and very respectful
on ZDNetss part. What amuses me is that "Allah" is just another
name for God lie the Yarcheese name that Christians sometimes
use.

"All glory and praise to (fill in the blank)"
