Yes, Longhorn will be 5% of the market at that point.
So who would use technologies that only reach 5%. You are right, people will not have money to upgrade all of those old computers. If we can focuse on adding a standards based web service engine to Mozilla and have that ready in less than two years, then that could run on 95% of the desktops, compared with 5% for new Longhorn technologies. I think we have most of the open source pieces to do that. And, in two years, there will be at least 15% of desktops that are NOT Microsoft. I see both Mac and Linux growing. Microsoft might yet lose the browser war. But, what they are doing is really the best strategy for where they are at.

This is drama unfolding. This is exciting. It is fun to watch Billy and Stevie squirm.
