IE
screw the old, non-compliant websites and update IE to full standard compliance with W3 guidelines. It's on those old sites to update, if they are even maintained anymore - so many websites are just ghosttowns and the other browsers aren't babying them.

Add the tabs. You got em in Excel, you should be able to figure them out for IE. Tabbed browsing is wonderful, . . heck make it so I can drag and rearrange, or group print, in lieu or conjunction with Group Bookmark, . . keep bookmark deletion as easy as Right Click vs Managing Bookmarks, . . don't let png support rely on 3rd party fixes, and maybe web developers will actually start using more png (how many pngs have you seen in the wild). And for those themers, add on-the-fly theme switch (no close and restart) and color control ala the WMedia Player. Let the toolbars free float or snap to any part of the browser

Unbolt IE, its a doorway into the system and the system isn't ready for what's coming in. Unbolt a lot of things, . . there are still folders and apps that you won't let be uninstalled or deleted (at least not permanently). Get off of it already, . . the harder you make Windows and IE, the easier it is for ppl to switch to (learn) other systems. You make even their rabid, zealot types a advertisement for change, and that's just sick and sad.
