Some program installers are deceptive. I downloaded the weatherbug software from aws.com to see if a weather station at one of my middle schools was working properly and it asked if I wanted to install the my search bar I selected "no" and the damn thing installed it anyway. Im sure there are alot of deceptive programs out there.
*nix may be imune for now but that is only because these pricks dont see it as worth the trouble, as it would be easy to hide something like this in a binary installer from the average user.
