As an on again off again smoker ...
Wayne, in a way I agree with you, but only because of whatI call the "Racoon Effect" - if you pressure a Raccoon enough, and put it in a corner, it will fight back.

Up until 9 months ago, I smoked about 1/2 a pack a day, now it's maybe 1 or 2 a week - I enjoy it that way - but I'm still extremely ticked at the pressure being layed on us by society and government (I live in a city in Canada where smoking is not permitted in any public building, including bars). It outrages me to see the brut force with which smokers are being manhandled - however, looking at the flip side, there are WAY to many inconsiderate smokers out there, and the non-smokers are just fighting back - I would never in a million years light up a smoke in a non-smoking are, or when someone else is still eating (at my table, or the next), that's just inconsiderate - but how many times have you seen some "tough guy" teenager light up a smoke where ever he/she wanted because they thought they owned the world?

Did any of us smokers stop to think that maybe if we were just a little more considerate, we would still be allowed to smoke in most public places?
