Um no. Seems like you gobbled up the RIAA's propaganda real good!

If you used P2P, you'd realize the real reason it was decentralized: to maximize efficient bandwidth usage. With Napster, everyone had to log on to centralized servers thus creating a choke point: the centralization itself. Before, all users were downloading the same files off the same servers. Now files are downloaded in chunks, with each peer having a different chunk that another peer needs. This way we can all download from each other, thus eliminating the centralized bottleneck.
