Some suggestions
To make it easier on blind/otherwise impaired people:

-Test your website on a text-based browser, such as Lynx. If you have troubles there, then blind people will also have troubles.
-Flash is EVIL for blind people - they can't see or use it! Always have non-Flash options.
-W3C compliance is a must, and the specs do include accomodations for blind people - use them.
-Always include alt text with your graphics.
