What adverse effects are there for the war on child abuse?
Let's just turn the issue on its head for a moment.

I'm all for shutting down the creators and consumers of child porn here in the United States. And support doing so in 1st world nations. We have plenty of means to care for the children victimized by child pornographers.

However, what do you do to support children in 3rd world nations where pornography may mean the difference between getting food, shelter, clothing or starving to death or dying of exposure? As cruel as it sounds, most children in these areas are excess population; and nature has never been very nice to that group.
