I wish people would stop promoting this monolithic
view of history.

"While you may find homosexual behavior to be aberrant, there was a time when anything other than the missionary position was considered aberrant. In some cultures (ancient Greece) homosexuality was considered normal."

In certain periods of certain civilizations, in certain milieus, homosexuality was considered "acceptable". Note that "ancient Greece" isn't around anymore.

When Rome was still a Republic, growing stronger, homosexuality was rejected, along with a host of other, more liberal practices. Even Julius Caesar in his commentaries denigrated the Gauls for practicing homosexuality (the Gauls of that period were also in the decayed era of a formerly robust society.) Much later, in its decaying period, Rome embraced homosexuality.
Notably, it's been in those eras when "...anything but the missionary position was considered aberrant" when civilization has made the greatest progress. Wasn't exactly the Rainbow Coalition that faced the hardship of building the first colonies in the New World. My father used to tell of the German girl he saved from a pistol-whipping by another G.I. in WWII. When asked what had provoked him, the G.I. said that she had offered him oral sex like she gave the black soldiers. It was never clear which had offended him more; the deviant sex act or the inter-racial sex act. But I would point out that that terrible soldier was also part of the "greatest generation" that liberated Europe.

That the idea of normal is always changing doesn't mean it's always changing for the better. A pregnant teen... who is unmarried... SHOULD face embarrassment and disgrace.
