I can see how it's a fine line between discrimination and trying to find a good fit as a roommate.

I don't think asking the question itself is discrimination though, because the website owners are not looking for a roommate. It's up to the people using the service to determine whether they want to filter on sexual orientation or not.

Another thing, which is funny because I'm actually seeing this sponsored ad on the right side of this web page:

Why is it OK for this site to be allowed to run? (it actually says "exclusively", so it's not even suggesting that people not part of the gay community can/should join)
