Since when are students not supposed to help one another?
James Norrie and any other Ryerson officials involved in this myopic fiasco should be sent for some remedial courses in basic learning theory. Constructivist and cooperative learning models are commonplace in Canadian primary and secondary schools... why wouldn't they work in higher Education? This is knee jerk bureaucracy at its worst. How shameful and embarrassing for Ryerson. Copying answers is wrong, but discussing homework problems in a PUBLIC forum is another. Chris Avenir needs a good lawyer to get his credits AND perhaps damages as well...
