Giving teachers a break
Remembering that teachers are also parents and that all humans benefit from education, we should do our utmost to see that the huge amount of money we spend on education is not wasted. (In Arizona, 71 percent of our property taxes are spent on what the state calls education, but we have the worst academic achievement in the nation.)

Knowing that private education delivers twice the education at half the cost, the following program is indicated:

1. Sell the schools to the highest bidders.

2. Return the proceeds to the rightful owners.

3. Discontinue all taxation for education.

4. Discontinue all government involvement in education.

That's what we can do to give teachers--and the rest of the world--a break.
