Internet Sales Tax

It's not matter of a new tax. It's a matter of applying taxation fairly. It's more important to have taxes be fairly applied to all sellers than to protect a seller because it's new. Bill Clinton when he was President protected internet sales, not exactly a right winger. It's time the all merchants play on a level playing field. It's certainly not difficult for the computer software industry to develop databases that figure out the various states sales tax rates and apply the correct tax to the shipping address. It's time to let internet sales stand or fall in a truly competitive world.
