if i wish to place a bet, and someone wishes to accept the bet, what right does a government have to prefvent this?
the basis is morality. i happen to agree with that basis. i work in a town where it is illegal to sell beer on sundays in a grocery store but not a bar. but saturday? friday? sure. no reason for the market to "respect" the traditions of Jews and Moslems...is there?
why? becuase of morality..not commerce. control by government of the marketplace.
sadly, this is the kind of stupid issue ---online "casinos" in antigua--that ends up making law that will affect whther a truck stop can have slot machines.
